about
Sarah is a movement artist who has carved her own path between concert dance and musical theater, bringing a new texture to theatrical storytelling. She works as both a performer and a choreographer, and always highlights how those two positions benefit each other. Her aesthetic blends physical athleticism with more pedestrian, gestural movement to portray relatable human beings on stage. Sarah’s skills and interests range from choreography for big dance musicals to movement direction for small, intimate plays. She has a keen eye for the overall vision of a show as well as the intricate details that help a production flow seamlessly. Dynamics, rhythm, improvisation, and character building are all emphasized in her work.
As a performer, Sarah recently concluded the two-year Broadway run of the new musical Hell’s Kitchen at the Shubert Theatre — with music/lyrics by Alicia Keys, direction by Michael Greif, and choreography by Camille A. Brown. She was an OBC cast member and part of the development of the show since 2022, including its off-Broadway run at The Public Theater.
From 2019-2022 she toured the country as the “Mob Leader” in the 50th Anniversary National Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. She became a member of the company Camille A. Brown and Dancers in 2018, touring and performing in two seasons at The Joyce theater in NYC, including in the 2023 Bessie Award-nominated Mr. TOL E. RanCE. In 2015, Sarah was a featured dancer in the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof, with movement by Hofesh Shechter and direction by Bartlett Sher.
On TV, Sarah is featured in Harlem, Mozart in the Jungle (Season 4), Modern Love, and NBC's Jesus Christ Superstar LIVE. She’s also been a part of numerous industrials, live immersive events, and dance films.
As a creative, Sarah was recently nominated for a Helen Hayes Award for her choreography of a reimagined, in-the-round version of Fiddler on the Roof at DC’s Signature Theatre with director Joe Calarco. The production received rave reviews and sold out its 3-month run. She was also the Movement Consultant and Intimacy Coordinator of the new Off-Broadway play Blackout Songs at the Robert W. Wilson Theater Space at MCC, alongside director Rory McGregor. For Spring ‘26, she is the choreographer of Jagged Little Pillat Colorado Fine Arts Center.
In the past few years, she’s worked on Broadway as the assistant choreographer of The WHO’s Tommy at the Nederlander Theatre, and the associate choreographer of Cameloton Broadway at Lincoln Center and How to Dance in Ohio at The Belasco Theatre.
At LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts, Sarah recently directed and choreographed the classic operetta Of Thee I Sing, and in 2024 she choreographed a movement-based version of Into the Woods. She is continuously helping to develop new musicals and plays, conceptualizing what the physical world and vocabulary of a show could look like. Her choreography has been featured in numerous festivals and showcases around the country, and she teaches contemporary, improvisation, and theater classes all around NYC and beyond.
In addition to dancing, Sarah has a Master’s in Journalism from NYU and works as a freelance arts writer. She was named one of Broadway Women’s Fund’s “Women to Watch of 2026”.
