Camille A. Brown, already one of the most exciting and original choreographers working in the theater, has outdone herself by filling the stage with expressive and exceedingly well-executed dance. This cast really moves, with every moment sharp and performed full-out, like the final cut of a musical video. The energy of the streets of New York feels ever-present, as every member of the cast works up a sweat reaching for their own little bit of happiness.

A leading figure in the show, the first we see after an electric guitar solo, is listed in the program as ‘Riot Girl’ (Sarah Parker). With her flowing mane of curls and twitchy, intense movement, she leads the feverish charge of a “mob” chorus that is as memorable as anything you’ll see on stage in this new year or any year.
— Pittsburgh Post Gazette
The refreshing, intense, and irresistible choreography by Drew McOnie stole the show. The expression and emotion from the entire cast was perfection as was their spot-on chemistry. However, it was the Riot Girl, Sarah Parker that lit up the stage with her intricate and truly passionate movement.

Featured Dancer - Riot Girl / Mob Leader

PREVIOUS NATIONAL TOUR of 50 Cities

September 2019 - August 2022

Directed by Timothy Sheader, Choreography by Drew McOnie

The work of Mob Leader Sarah Parker is perhaps the most meaningful part of the show. She continually displays in motion what we sometimes miss in lost lyrics of the concert style show. Parker also embodies the emotion of the show and never holds back. Her level of commitment surpasses everything else visually in the show.

Finally, I was captivated by Sarah Parker in the more symbolic role of Mob Leader. Her physicality gave her such a presence on the stage and created even more room for thought-provoking moments in an already reflective show. If you wait for her featured moments throughout the scenes, you begin to see how the people around Jesus ebbed and flowed, pushed and pulled in ways that couldn’t be controlled or stopped. It was fascinating to watch.
